Sun Windows - Press Release

Celebrating 30 Years of Sun

October 2009 marks the 30th Anniversary of Sun Windows. In October 1979, Robert E. Anderson founded Sun Windows upon the heritage of the V.E. Anderson Manufacturing Company, the company built by his father, Victor E. Anderson. Sun has continued to grow and expand, taking on the challenges and opportunities that have come with each year. Today, Sun offers an exciting range of window and door products with features and options designed to satisfy the aesthetic needs of today’s home, while providing energy-efficiency, comfort and value in a highly durable product. Additionally, Sun backs up these products with service that goes beyond a printed warranty by taking care of its customers.

Currently, Sun is in the midst of a plant expansion project dubbed the “Ike” building. When hurricane Ike hit the gulf shores last year, little did anyone know that the damage from that storm would be carried so far into the mid-states. Damaging, sustained winds collapsed a large section of Sun’s historic factory. A year later, Sun is well on its way to a new production facility where the old section collapsed. This is very exciting and will offer new possibilities in the near future.
