Our In-Swing and Out-Swing Patio Doors are also available in a traditional styled True French Door configuration. This is a two-panel door with one panel being the main operating panel while the second panel can be unlatched and opened to expand access through the door opening.
True French Patio Doors have the same features and options as our other Swing doors. The main difference is that the True French Configuration allows both panels to be opened. One panel will be the main operating panel that opens just like any typical swing door. The second panel, the passive panel, has integrated head and foot shoot bolts that hold it in place. These can be released by the handle set on the passive panel, allowing the second panel to open fully, and giving you a wide opening for expanded access.
The standard jamb depth is 4-9/16”. A jamb depth of 6-9/16" is also available. See Jamb Options for more information.
