Sliding door operation can be selected as a Left or Right active panel, as viewed from the exterior. Available as two-panel units, three-panel units (a two-panel unit with a Fixed single unit mulled to one side), or four-panel units with two operating center panels.
A dual-latch handle set secures the operating panel when closed while providing an interior and exterior handle to grasp when sliding the panel. The operating panel glides on heavy-duty, stainless steel, ball-bearing loaded, tandem rollers. These rollers are adjustable.
Jamb Depth
The standard jamb depth is 4-9/16”. A jamb depth of 6-9/16" is also available. See Jamb Options for more information.

Sun Clad Wood Doors, including swing doors, sliding doors, and bi-fold doors, all use a common door panel. These panels are typically full-view glass panels. However, there are several options for configuring the panels to reflect unique styles and designs.
Panel Options
All of our extruded aluminum-clad windows and doors are available in a wide range of exterior powder-coated finish colors to coordinate with the design of your project. Click on the link below to see our color choices.
Exterior Color Options
An extruded aluminum exterior casing and trim system is available on our clad windows and doors to enhance the visual appeal of the windows and doors. Available in a variety of trim and casing profiles, these extrusions add a dimensional accent to the product and the home or building.
Exterior Trim OptionsConfigurations include a two-panel unit with either a right or left sliding panel as viewed from the exterior. The three-panel unit consists of a two-panel unit with a single fixed unit mulled to one of the sides. Four-panel units, called Quad Sliders, have two fixed panels, one on each end, and two middle panels that slide open. See our 4-Panel Sliding Door page for additional details.

Our clad-wood products feature clear pine interiors that are ideally suited for staining or painting. Choose to have your windows and doors delivered without any interior finish so that you can stain or paint them yourself or have them primed or painted at the factory with your choice of one of our standard interior finish colors.
Dual Latch Handle Set
Contemporary & Signature Styles
Our Dual-Latch Handle Sets are available in two styles: Contemporary and Signature. The Interior Handle has a latch lever that manually secures the door panel in its closed position. The Exterior Handle is available in two versions. One is a plain handle without a lock. This version cannot be unlocked or unlatched from the exterior. The other version has a keyed cylinder lock that provides access from the exterior using a key.

Sliding Door Jambs are 4-9/16” as standard. A 6-9/16” Jamb is also available.
Jamb Options
The sill is pultruded fiberglass with a stainless steel guide track.

All doors come with Tempered glass as standard.

Grille systems add divided lite designs to windows and doors. They are available in a variety of patterns that can be customized to meet your design needs.
Grille Patterns
A screen is available for two, three, and four-panel configurations. The screen mounts in a track to the exterior of the door panels. It can be slid sideways to cover the opening when the door panel is left open.

4-11/16” Profile Width Stiles and Rails
All of our standard door panels feature equal stile and rail face dimensions. Panel rails and stiles are 4-11/16”.
A tall bottom rail option is available for applications requiring a tall profile.
Optional solid insert panels are available in many configurations to achieve almost any balance between glass view and non-viewing areas.
