Our clad wood direct set fixed lite uses a modest frame in which the insulated glass is set. This gives it a narrow profile and maximizes the view opening of the window.

Sun’s Contemporary Direct Set Fixed Lite is a specially configured window that uses our regular Direct Set paired with a minimal interior jamb depth and our Contemporary glass stop. The result is a Fixed Lite that maximizes the open view of the window and minimizes the presence of the frame within the opening.
Sash Set vs Direct Set
Here is a comparison of our Sash Set Fixed Lite, left side, to our Direct Set Fixed Lite, right side. The wider frame and sash of the Sash Set match our Casement family of products. The narrow frame of our Direct Set is designed to maximize the viewing area of the window.
Jamb Depth
The jamb depth is 2-1/16”. This allows for Drywall Return applications and minimizes the visual appearance of the window frame within the wall.
